Game Room, Part 3

Now that I've defeated the evil "Drywall Monster", I can move onto something I'm better at... putting red paint on things.

As you can tell, this is my forte.

Boom. Room painted.

Once again, my assistant brings his unique contributions to painting.

Game Room, Part 2

Well, the fun with the hammer and the nail gun is done. Time for walls!

First panel done!

Cruising along!

Well... now comes the part where I skip about a week.

Taping and sanding drywall? WORST JOB EVER! I will gladly pay to have this done next time.

Opps... what do these buttons do again?

I guess I didn't set up the auto-update thing correctly. So, I guess it's time to play catch-up.

Game Room, Part 1

The best thing about buying a new house is getting to add your own personal touch to the space. For me, that means a game room!

We start with this...

Add some framing...

 Fill in the gaps...

 Build a work table...

Build the gaming table...

 Add an amazing anniversary present...

Looking good...

That's enough for one day, part two coming soon!

None of this would have been accomplished without my helper of course!

Eldar rise again... (for the third time)

Well, Eldar got a new codex recently, so I decided it was time to finish them. A little background first...

I started this army while gaming at Tactics in East Providence. This was my 3rd army and my first non-power armor army. I originally started them as a Saim-Hann jet bike army, using the Codex: Craftworld book. Since I already had a Blood Angels (red) and Khorne (red) army, I decided not to paint them a standard (red) scheme. Hence the birth of my Orange and Blue army. These guys have floundered through 2 new updates since I originally started them, but now it's time to finish them up.

First up will be my Forgeworld Avatar.

Here's Mr. Liquid Hot Magma...

A close up of the face...

I tried some blending on the sword...

And on the tabard...

I still need to seal him and then gloss the gemstones, but the weather has been lousy, so that has to wait.

The base is by Micro Arts Studios. It painted up quite nicely and I'm happy with the blue effect on the stones.

Talk amongst yourselves.
